Busy Schedule Makes Tommy Roe 'Dizzy'

Los Angeles, CA -- Even though Tommy Roe had his biggest hits in the 1960s, he's still rocking steady.

The man who gave the world hits like "Sheila," "Sweet Pea" and "Dizzy" takes songwriting just as seriously as he did 40 years ago, even though he admits the music market isn't as open to him as it was back then.

He's not resting on his hits either. A few years back, he had an acid jazz band with his daughter and he recently released a new CD, "Salute," featuring his newest songs.

Roe says tunes still come to him in the darnedest places, such as his newest song, "Devil's Soul Pile," which came to him while he was trout fishing in the Sierra mountains near a town called "Devil's Post Pile."

In addition, Roe is adding his touch to classic tunes as well. He's just recorded a version of "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" for a new compilation record, "Rockin' Christmas Oldies, Vol. 1."
