New York, NY -- Actor Bob McGrath is best known as "Bob" on "Sesame Street" but he will be walking over to Broadway next month.

McGrath -- who has been on the popular PBS series since its inception 35 years ago -- is currently working on "Santa Meets The Ice Dragon," an original holiday musical that will debut Dec. 10 at the Beacon Theater.

The play revolves around Santa saving Christmas from an ice dragon that McGrath says "...is bigger than Big Bird" and he will do the narration and voices for all the characters.

There hasn't been a successful Christmas stage musical for a while but McGrath is so confident the "Ice Dragon" can rival "The Nutcracker" that he has already signed a deal to do the show next year.

But McGrath isn't changing his address. He still performs on "Sesame Street" and has just taped a spoof of "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" with Oscar the Grouch that is called "Grouch Eye For The Nice Guy" where he gets a makeover from the "Drab Five."
