Los Angeles, CA -- Filming a reality show can be a real pain -- especially if you have to wear pigtails every hour of the day.

That's what 21-year-old Kate Koth learned while filming "The Real Gilligan's Island," a reality show based on the classic sitcom.

Koth was picked to play "Mary Ann" and, as a result, she had to spend every waking hour with her hair in pigtails and suffered migraines because of the tightness.

She suffered in other ways too -- a coral infection and numerous mosquito bites -- but, thankfully, no coconuts fell on her head.

Despite the battle wounds, Koth enjoyed the experience, even though the island lacked the basic necessities to make coconut cream pies.

"The Real Gilligan's Island" debuts Nov. 30 on the TBS channel and while Koth won't reveal whether or not she developed a crush on the real Gilligan, she found him "adorable."
