Reality Shows Can Ruin Relationships
Los Angeles, CA -- Many reality shows allow the opportunity for contestant couples to win a lot of money, but they also can help break up those relationships.
Case in point: Lance Moseley, a contestant on CMT's reality show "Cowboy U," which takes five city couples and tries to transform them into real country cowboys.
He entered the show with his girlfriend of eight months, Vicky, and he says the show exposed their relationship's weak points, which led them to break up after shooting ended.
Moseley admits they weren't "getting along anyways going into the show," but since the show was a competition and they are "two really competitive and strong-willed people," he figures the combination equaled disaster for them as a couple.
Their relationship wasn't the only one to bite the dust. In fact, three of the other four couples have called it quits.
The season premiere of "Cowboy U" airs tomorrow (Nov. 19).
