New York, NY -- The phrase "all work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy" apparently doesn't translate to the Korean language. According to a new survey by the research firm NOP World, folks in Korea spend more time working and less time playing than the residents of any other country. Koreans spend nearly 51 hours a week at their jobs but only play 30 hours a week. By comparison, the average American works 38 hours each week but "plays" about 42 hours per week. However, the folks in the Philippines are the ones who really take lots of leisure time, spending only 32 hours per week working and 52 hours on fun. Finally, citizens in Sweden have the most "balanced" lives -- they spend nearly 37 hours each week on both work and play.
