Arnold Schwarzenegger Top Choice For Popeye

Siloam Spring, AR -- Californians see Arnold Schwarzenegger as their governor but everyone else sees him as Popeye The Sailor.

According to a new survey by Popeye brand spinach, "Ah-nuld" is the man most Americans say should play the pipe-smoking sailor in a movie.

Schwarzenegger was selected by 21 percent, beating out cycling champion Lance Armstrong and comedian Jim Carrey, who each received 17 percent of the vote.

Other potential Popeyes making the list include...

-- Bruce Willis, the top choice of 11 percent of spinach-eaters.

-- Four percent say Matt Damon should play Popeye.

-- Finally, this should blow Popeye down: Two percent want David Letterman to portray Popeye, the same percentage that wants Tiger Woods in the role.
