New Book Weeds Out Manners Of Marijuana

New York, NY -- Etiquette experts like Miss Manners never cover the manners of marijuana usage but a man in New York has -- and it's high time.

Steve Wishnia weeds out the rules of smoking weed in "The Cannabis Companion: The Ultimate Guide To Connoisseurship" (Running Press).

For instance, it's considered selfish and rude to smoke a joint around other people without offering them a hit -- unless you're in Jamaica or England.

Also, if two groups of pot smokers intersect, Wishnia says you should ask the joint owner if it's okay to pass the pot on to the second group.

Other toking tips smoked out by Wishnia.....

-- Don't ramble on in a lengthy monologue while holding a joint -- pass it on immediately.

-- Finally, Wishnia says the most important rule of pot smoking is to avoid spilling bongwater -- it can stink up a carpet for days.
