Young Voters Are Wild About Kerry

New York, NY -- John Kerry may be older than his political rival, George W. Bush, but it looks like he's the more popular presidential candidate among young hipsters.

According to a poll of trendy Americans age 18 to 22 by Blue Fusion youth marketing, 52 percent are planning to vote for Kerry, compared to 33 percent who will vote for Bush.

All in all, 68 percent of the style-setters are registered to vote and 64 percent of them plan to cast their decision on Nov. 2.

Still, 18 percent won't rock the vote this year -- they plan to sit out the election.

Just how politically active are America's youth? Sixty-eight percent say they feel comfortable talking about politics with their pals, but 32 percent won't express their views openly among peers.

Still, only 14 percent admit to owning political buttons, bumper stickers or t-shirts.
