New York, NY -- Instead of buying shoes worth thousands of dollars, Cher and Christina Aguilera have designed footwear which could fetch just as much at auction. Famed shoe designer Stuart Weitzman invited the two singers and other music pros to decorate stiletto pumps that will be auctioned off to raise money for breast cancer research. It's the fourth celebrity shoe auction Weitzman has organized, which in the past has included actors, actresses and athletes who've put their creative wit to the test. The tastes of this year's wannabe shoe designers vary as much as their vocal styles as Jessica Simpson fashioned her clod out of beads and sea shells while Queen Latifah created a pink-colored shoe with shiny silver and a queen's crown. Weitzman expects each singer's shoe to fetch thousands of dollars and adds, "This may be the only piece of art they will create, other than their music." The shoes can be bid on at stuartweitzman.com starting October 1.
