'WKRP' Star Travels Back To The '70s

Los Angeles, CA -- "WKRP in Cincinnati" star Tim Reid is experiencing a bit of career "deja vu" these days.

The actor -- known for his role as groovy DJ, Venus Flytrap -- is back on the same soundstage where he starred in the '70s sitcom, shooting yet another Disco Era comedy, "That '70s Show."

Starting September 15, Reid will be on board for six episodes, playing the newly-discovered dad of Danny Masterson's character, Hyde.

The actor says he feels like he's walking in Venus' platform shoes all over again: Not only is he wearing polyester duds and an afro, he's also parking in the same parking spot he had during his "WKRP" days.

In Reid's words, "Sometimes it's like a freakish flashback -- and I never even did acid."

Beyond the flashback, though, there's a feeling of satisfaction for Reid, who says walking on the "'70s Show" stage validated that he's "still in the game" 30 years after he started.
