Pilates Magazine To Hit Stands

New York, NY -- Take a deep breath: A new fitness magazine is coming out this fall that will be the first devoted exclusively to Pilates.

"Pilates Style "will feature the fitness craze that teaches deep rhythmic breathing and low-impact exercises -- which was the creation of the late Joseph Pilates, who began teaching the exercise in 1926.

The magazine will contain information for beginners to advanced students on pilates exercises, equipment, exercise wear, travel, and nutrition.

"Pilates Style" spokeswoman Diana Leidel says the fitness magazine was created because Pilates is the fastest-growing exercise format right now.

She adds that other fitness magazines didn't cover enough Pilates for the 4.7 million exercise nuts in the U.S. who participate in Pilates.

The magazine will publish four times a year to start, but Leidel says if there's enough positive feedback, it will go monthly.
