According to a new cyber-survey by MSN, 39 percent have looked up their own names on the internet and 29 percent look for family members.

But some folks are searching for different things. For instance, Gen X'ers prefer to search for blind dates while Baby Boomers go online for weather reports and recipes.

-- New Yorkers search for financial information online while California residents are seeking entertainment news.

-- Oldsters over 59 use the net to learn their family history.

-- Finally, as you might have guessed, men are more likely to search for info on cars while women prefer going online to get celebrity gossip.
