Hair Raising News About Hair Loss Month

Boca Raton, FL -- August has been designated National Hair Loss Awareness Month by the American Academy of Dermatology.

But here's where it gets hairy: To celebrate the month, HairMax, the manufacturer of a hair loss treatment is sending 10 male celebrities a free LaserComb to help them restore their hair.

The LaserComb uses laser phototherapy to make hair thicker and fuller.

Some of the celebrities on the list are a no-brainer like David Letterman, Nicholas Cage and Matt Lauer. Then there's others that may inspire some head scratching, like Ben Affleck, Mel Gibson and Jerry Seinfeld.

The device's inventor says hair loss is an "emotional and often embarrassing issue for many men," including celebrities, and that he hopes by sending these stars the product it will "illustrate that this progressive, non-invasive restorative solution is an option for everyone including celebrities."
