Wayland, MA -- Presidential election opponents John Kerry and George W. Bush aren't exactly pals -- but the lookalikes who portray them are.

That's according to Kerry double Tom DiCesare, who has been impersonating the Massachusetts senator since March.

The 41-year-old science illustrator says when he first started, it was a Dubya impersonator who took him under his wing and helped him land paying gigs -- including a commercial for a coffee shop in which both lookalikes appeared.

Some might find the bipartisan buddyhood funny, but DiCesare figures "there's no reason not to help each other out."

In fact, crossing party lines is a bit of a tradition in the political lookalike community: DiCesare says his Dubya impersonator friend was mentored by a Bill Clinton double.
