Yellow Is The New Black

Austin, TX -- Fashion plates are declaring yellow to be this season's hot clothing color.

It's also the color of cyclist Lance Armstrong's jersey, and to honor yellow, a charity auction of designer clothes is being held from now until July 16.

The auction coincides with the first half of the Tour de France, in which Armstrong is favored to make a record-breaking sixth consecutive win.

The items up for auction include a yellow Oscar de la Renta dress from the spring/summer 2004 collection worth $15,000.

Also on the auction block will be a pair of Manolo Blahnik thigh-high suede banana boots; a Louis Vuitton yellow Epi hatbox; and a Robert Lee Morris 18-karat yellow gold bracelet valued at $7,000.

All proceeds will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which benefits young people with cancer.
