Flash Lites July 1st, 2004 - Rip 'N' Read Recap

Boston, MA -- David Lee Roth is temporarily giving up his budding career as an emergency medical technician so he can return to singing. Roth will be performing "California Girls" and "Jump" with the Boston Pops orchestra on July 4. No word on if Diamond Dave plans to outshine the fireworks.

NEW YORK -- Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey are the latest Clinton gals to discuss the former President's memoirs. The duo will appear on tonight's episode of "Primetime Thursday" on ABC.

LONDON -- Even when you're as sexy, rich and famous as Nicole Kidman, having kids can really cramp your style. She tells "Now" magazine "I'm a 37-year-old woman with two children. Men aren't beating a path to my door." But she's not complaining. Kidman says she makes her children her priority and because she takes them wherever she goes, it makes her "not so appealing for any new man on the scene."

WASHINGTON -- Former "Wonder Woman" Lynda Carter is spilling some secrets about her superheroine past. The 1970s TV star confesses that smoking a cigarette was the least glamorous thing she did while wearing her star-spangled costume. She also tells TV Guide Online that she angered Howard Cosell by dumping a bottle of champagne over his head during a 1976 episode of "Battle of the Network Stars." Carter didn't realize the sports anchor was wearing a hairpiece and after she gave him the bath with bubbly -- in her words -- "He was so p***ed off."

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Iraqis are toying with former dictator Saddam Hussein. Reuters reports that Baghdad toy shops have begun carrying a novelty Saddam doll which wiggles its hips to the tune of "Hippy Hippy Shake." The dancing doll is flying off store shelves in Iraq's capital city.
