Jersey City, NJ -- Some people will do anything for art -- even auction off their beard on eBay.

New Jersey-based conceptual artist Roger Sayre hasn't shaved since January and is currently auctioning off the rights to decide how he should shave it.

Sayre says he will wear the winner's chosen facial hair style for at least a month and, adds, "If I like it, I'll make it permanent."

In addition, the winning bidder also has the option of taking home Sayre's two-inch beard strands mounted on a plaque.

The auction ends Sunday morning (Jun. 6) and the current bidding is running around $72. It was up to $300 but Sayre says the bidder wanted him to wear an Adolf Hitler mustache which, he says "...is clearly against the rules."
