Hollywood, CA -- Antonio Banderas was really "Livin' La Vida Loca" while recording his part as Puss In Boots in the upcoming sequel to "Shrek."

In his animation debut, the Spanish heartthrob duets with Eddie Murphy's smart-aleck character "Donkey" on a cover of the 1999 Ricky Martin hit.

Banderas was equally "loco" when it came time to record his lines as the debonair pussycat.

"Shrek 2" co-director Conrad Vernon says the actor gave Puss In Boots "a Zorro personality times ten," getting himself so hyped up in the studio he was "whipping around, hissing and spitting and marking his territory."
