Helsinki, Finland -- It's a scary time to be around, according to heavy metal rocker Michael Monroe -- and not because of terrorism. The lead singer of Hanoi Rocks says "rock and roll has almost been wiped off the face of the earth thanks to rap, hip-hop, country AND western." But Monroe isn't just waiting there like a stone. He's doing his part to keep rock's flame alive by reuniting with Hanoi Rocks guitarist Andy McCoy after a 17-year split. Monroe said the reunion wasn't a conscious decision and was only considered after realizing McCoy had changed and now "respects me as a songwriter." Now, the Finnish-based rockers have released their first album since the 1980s, "Twelve Shots On The Rocks," and Monroe can hardly wait to get out on tour and keep rock alive because, "it's for a good cause."
