Los Angeles, CA -- The composers of the 1957 Elvis Presley hit, "Jailhouse Rock," are singing the blues thanks to an upcoming stage production in London: "Jailhouse Rock: The Musical."

The musical is scheduled to open later this month and is based on the Elvis movie, "Jailhouse Rock." However, that film's famous title song is nowhere to be heard or seen except for the title.

That's got "Jailhouse Rock" composers Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller crying like hound dogs. They say musical producers created that title and that it's "misleading" for their fans who will expect to hear that song in the London stage musical.

Even worse: Stoller says the new play may prevent him and Lieber from using the title "Jailhouse Rock" in any future productions.

Lieber and Stoller admit they don't know their legal options in the United Kingdom but promise to fight any attempts to bring the "Jailhouse Rock" musical to the U.S.
