Atlanta, GA -- Jackie Gleason was born on this day (Feb. 26) back in 1916 and one person who's celebrating is actor William H. Macy.

That's because Macy is making a TV-movie, "The Wool Cap," that is based on a story conceived by Gleason about a deaf mute who befriends a 9-year-old girl.

Gleason turned the story into his 1962 comedy, "Gigot," but Macy's screenplay will be closer in tone to Door To Door, his 2002 film where he portrayed a salesman with cerebral palsy.

"The Wool Cap" will debut on the TNT network but no date has been selected.
