New York, NY -- Weight watchers who select the "healthy" menu options at fast food restaurants may end up doing more harm than good. It turns out some of these supposedly diet-friendly items are just as bad for you as the deep-fried, fat-laden old standbys, according to new research by" Self" magazine. For instance, McDonald's new white meat chicken McNuggets still pack a hefty 250 calories and 15 grams of fat per six piece serving and Burger King's Fire Grilled Angus Steakburger packs on 350 calories and 12 grams of saturated fat. A "Go Active" Happy Meal for adults from McDonalds is on the right track with a salad, bottled water and a pedometer, but if you add crispy chicken on top, you end up consuming 870 calories and a whopping 52 grams of fat. Truly healthier options include the Pizza Hut Fit 'N' Delicious Pizza, which has double the sauce and half the cheese, and Burger King's Fire-Grilled Chicken Baguette, which has 350 calories, 5 grams of fat and 4 grams of fiber.
