Rhonda Findling calls this type of guy "The Ambivalent Man."

In her book, "The Commitment Cure" (Adams Media), she details all types of Ambivalent Men -- from the love 'em and leave 'em "Fling Man" to the all flirting and no action "Man Who Plays Parlor Games." There's even the "Ambivalent Cyber Man," who woos women in online chat rooms but never follows through in real life.

Findling says many Ambivalent Men will never make good boyfriends because they just can't commit.

However, if a guy wants to see you at least once a week, talks about having a serious relationship or gives you a real, working phone number, there's potential for sustaining a relationship.
