Colfax, CA -- A 13-year-old aspiring singer-actress in California is poised to become the youngest movie theater owner in America. Paris Endicott Chase celebrates her 13th birthday on February 28 -- the same day her grandpa plans to give her ownership of his historic movie theater in Colfax, California. Grandad Wendell Jacob is planning a big party to celebrate, with a 10 foot-tall cake and a 590-yard-long ribbon wrapped around his "gift" of the Colfax Theatre. The date also marks the 65th anniversary of the movie house, which will be celebrated by screening the first movie ever shown there, "Alexander's Ragtime Band." A family spokesman says young Paris plans to thank her grandfather by serenading him with songs from the musical. The party is still a week away, but good wishes are already flowing in for Paris, including a letter from California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger reading, "I am delighted to wish you a happy 13th birthday as you accept a terrific gift from your grandfather."
