A 'Get Out Of Work Free' Card

Hoboken, NJ -- The bosses at a Hoboken, New Jersey, advertising agency are taking a tip from Monopoly and giving their employees "get out of work free" cards.

As a holiday bonus, each of the eight employees at Hammerhead Advertising received six free passes: Three which allow them to leave early on a Friday during the summer, two which get them out of working on projects and one that excuses them from a meeting with a client.

Boss John Perls says the motivation for the work-skipping notes is simple: "We want people to work their tails off and if you do this, they will."

He figures having the freedom to slack off will encourage employees to work even harder when they're on task.

The workers also received a cash bonus, but Perls says most of them were more excited about the free passes.

He jokes that his only fear is that one day he'll come in and "no one's here because they all turned in their cards."
