New York, NY -- French may be the language of love but Spanish is what you should speak in order to be seduced.

According to a global seduction survey sponsored by Harlequin romance novels, women in Spain put the moves on their dates 89 percent of the time, compared to the global average of 46 percent.

Even better for your seduction chances: Only 23 percent of Spanish people think looks are important in a partner.

Meanwhile, 53 percent of the world's citizens seduce their lovers with booze. Alcohol is the most popular seduction method in Japan but only used by 14 percent of Portuguese citizens.

Finally, 73 percent of Norwegians -- and 52 percent of the rest of the world -- admit they'd let themselves be seduced by someone ugly if they had the right pick-up technique but 65 percent of Japanese wouldn't allow that under any circumstance.
