Guerneville, CA -- The bubbly will be flowing at New Year's parties across the world this year, but there are some tips you need to know to keep the champagne sparkling well into next year.

According to the recently-released "rules of enjoyment" by Korbel Champagne Cellars, when bringing champagne to a party via car, partiers should keep the bottles upright to prevent the bubbly from being shaken up and losing its sparkle quickly after opening.

In addition, the glass in which the booze is poured affects the "sparkability" of champagne so the champagne company suggests using tall, tapered champagne flutes because short, wide goblets will cause the bubbles to dissipate rapidly.

Finally, Korbel advises chilling the bottles for at least an hour and allowing a bottle for every two guests who plan on sipping bubbly for the entire evening.
