|
Minneapolis, MN (WFN) -- If you think you have an idea for an invention worth millions, be prepared to hawk your product at the Mall of America in Minnesota on Jan. 6. Auditions will be held for new products, up to 40 ideas will be picked to make the final cut and be shown on a TV show, "Million Dollar Idea" -- which has been described as ""The Antique Road Show" meets "American Idol."" Co-host Jean Golden says the show -- which began airing in the Minneapolis market in 2003 -- has provided "great exposure for people" trying to get their invention 'out there.'" For instance, Golden says items spawned by the show like the "twisterbill" -- a visor that twists around to the back without manual help -- have received a warm response from retail outlets. The winner from each episode -- picked from four contestants -- receives a "product launch package," including legal advice and marketing.
