Seattle, WA (WFN) -- Would you travel to a foreign country just to buy a bar of soap? Devotees of one British line of cosmetics would -- and some of them regularly cross international borders just to stock up on their favorites. Fans of the Lush line of handmade soaps, lotions, shampoos and potions include Seattle-based Microsoft software test engineer Diane Blumenshine, who regularly makes the three-hour trip across the Canadian border to Vancouver just to go to the Lush store closest to her. The products are available by mail order, but Blumenshine says the experience of going into a store and smelling and trying out the soaps is a must. She currently owns about 100 pieces of Lush product and says the craziest thing she's ever done for Lush was when she bought up 20 bars of a soap that was about to be discontinued. The self-proclaimed "Lushie" says she doesn't drink or smoke, so using the bath products is her one big indulgence.
