Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Former Ratt lead singer Stephen Pearcy will soon be ratting out the Navy -- and he hopes they enjoy it. Pearcy will be visiting San Diego on Dec. 17 to entertain the crew of the U.S.S. Nimitz aircraft carrier with songs like his 1984 hit, "Round And Round." Although Pearcy is happy to show his support for people who "put their lives on the line," he admits it's ironic since his music was considered "radical" back during Ronald Reagan's presidency. Pearcy says the Nimitz invitation is a high point in his career but the high point of the last 12 months was when NASA scientists played "Round And Round" to wake up the Mars Rover a few months ago, making Ratt the first band to be played on the red planet. It's an honor that thrills him on many levels. As he puts it, "Our old contracts had a line about getting royalties whenever our music was played in 'the world' but said nothing about 'the universe' so I think we'll be getting some extra royalties out of it."
