Chicago, IL (WFN) -- It looks like Americans favor baseball diamonds over jokes about the Red Square. According to records from Ticketsnew.com, which tracks 90 percent of online ticket sales in the U.S. in 2004, baseball was the best selling attraction in the U.S. with the Chicago Cubs outstanding in their field. The Boston Red Sox were second to the Cubs in sales. Meanwhile, the top five music concerts in order of most tickets sold were: Madonna; Jimmy Buffett; Prince; Kenny Chesney; and Sting. The Tony Award-winning musical "Wicked" led ticket sales in Theater followed by: "The Lion King; The Producers; Radio City Christmas Spectacular;" and "Mamma Mia!." Nobody was chuckling over the Kremlin's former-cream-of-the-crop comic Yakov Smirnoff though. He ranked the lowest in ticket sales. But misery loves company: Other ticket sale flops were Kris Kristofferson, Donny Osmond, Scott Hamilton & Friends, and a comedy show about nuns called "Nunsense."
