Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Casey Kasem watches pop songs fight their way up the charts, but his daughter, Kerri, is interested in a different kind of battle -- ultimate fighting. For the last two months, Kasem has been the pre- and post-fight interviewer for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and admits getting a kick watching guys pound each other into submission. In her words, "It's very strategic -- like a chess championship." Kasem -- a real knockout herself -- enjoys getting into the ring with the fighters but admits it's more fun talking to the winners because "they're ecstatic." But even though Kasem loves her work, she admits there are some challenges. She recently tried to ask a fighter's opinion about a match by having him look at a replay and asking, "How do you feel here?" and he replied, "Fight's over. I'm happy." Kasem's latest project is hosting "Ultimate Knockouts 3," a fight DVD being released later this month.
