The Incredible, Edible Christmas Card

East Brunswick, NJ (WFN) -- A New Jersey company is making it possible for folks to eat their relatives at the holidays.

It's not cannibalism: The John Max company takes family portraits and reproduces them on lollipops, chocolate bars and cookies that are then sent to friends and family in Christmas cards.

CEO John Carter says the images are printed on the sweets with food coloring, but they look just like a real photo.

The edible Christmas cards are really hot right now thanks to the holiday hubbub, but the same process can be used for wedding invitations or birthday cards.

Most of the time, people have pictures of their families printed on the cards, but Carter says he's had to draw the line with customers who wanted to use naughtier images on their edible greetings.
