New Gaming System Gets Couch-Chained Gamers To Break A Sweat

San Diego, CA (WFN) -- A new gaming system is giving its players more than a finger workout.

The system is called XaviX (ZAH-vicks) and it's being marketed to "the player who loves television and video games, but doesn't spend enough time being active."

The anti-couch potato system uses wireless controllers in the form of a baseball bat, tennis racquet or bowling ball -- which users swing or roll in order to control the movement of the characters in the game.

Spokeswoman Rachel Woodland says the $79.99 gaming system has been very popular with parents, who are hungry to get their couch-chained kids "up and moving."

She says players get a "real world experience" and, as she puts it, "Playing baseball video games with just your fingers isn't going to cut it anymore."
