Cherry Hill, NJ (WFN) -- An etiquette expert says there are a lot of "jerks" out there who don't have any cell phone manners -- and it's only getting worse. Barbara Pachter, a business communications trainer who teaches etiquette, says the most common cell phone gaffes include "speaking too loudly" and using loud and annoying ring tones. She says the problem is getting worse because "more and more people are getting [phones] than ever before." While Pachter admits there's a "learning curve" for a large portion of these cell phone rookies, she says many people are just "oblivious" as to how rude they are when using their phone in public. The lack of manners inspired Pachter to write her new book, "The Jerk With the Cell Phone: A Survival Guide for the Rest of Us "(Marlowe & Company). She hopes her guide will shed light on this problem as well as teach people to "speak up to a jerk by using the right words."
