Sylmar, CA (WFN) -- You've heard of the "fruit-of-the-month club?" Well, now there's something even nuttier: A "peanut-butter-and-jelly-of-the-month club".

You might be thinking, "Who wants a soggy sandwich arriving at your door every month?," but that's not the concept. Folks who join the 13-month, $250 club get one jar of peanut butter and one jar of jelly delivered by mail every month.

Club co-founder Dan Fendel says he's scoured the globe to find the best butters and jams, including hot and spicy peanut butter and jelly made from kudzu.

He says most people don't realize the variety of sandwich spreads out there -- or that there are other uses beyond slapping them between two slices of bread.

For instance, Fendel has concocted a slow-simmered chicken recipe that adds peanut butter along with onions and spices.

He also has a recipe for a peanut-butter flavored jelly, though he admits he's received some critiques on that one.
