Pelham, NH -- Want to finally own your dream home or land a high-powered job? Just write a letter to Santa and ask for it and your wish will come true.

That's the claim of author Melanie Calitri Holden, who says the magical powers of Santa aren't just for kids.

Inspired by her children's Christmastime ritual, she's been writing letters to Santa since the summer of 2002, fulfilling wishes like finding the perfect dog.

Holden outlines proper Santa letter writing for adults in her new book, "The Ultimate Wish Book: How to Use the Magic of Santa to Create Your Dreams" (Rekindering Company) -- including the important detail that you must mail your letter to Santa at the North Pole.

She says Santa letters are good all year round, not just at Christmastime.

Some adults might be skeptical of Holden's wish-fulfilling formula, but to them, she says, "Magic is all around us -- we just have to pay attention to it."
