Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- After his first foray into the world of directing, Matthew Perry says you can expect to see him behind the camera a lot more from now on.

The "Friends" star says he wanted to take his career "in a slightly different direction" and he took his first step by directing an episode of "Scrubs" which will air on NBC tomorrow (Nov. 23).

Perry -- who also guest stars in the sitcom along with his father -- says he is "very happy" with his performance as a director and wants to take a stab at the big screen.

In his words, "I think this experience has taught me enough that I can possibly fake my way through directing a little movie."

It doesn't mean he will hang up his acting shoes for good. Perry says he wants to "keep things open," although he insists he is definitely "not interested in another sitcom."
