Washington -- Instead of leaving with their wallets bulging, many air travelers through Las Vegas depart with their bellies bulging.

According to a new airport food rating survey, McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas has the most unhealthy food of any of the busiest airports in the U.S.

According to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, only 33 percent of Vegas airport restaurants offer a healthy option -- defined as a low-fat vegetarian entree.

On the flip side, Miami International Airport has been deemed the best airport, with 85 percent of the restaurants offering healthy cuisine.

Survey spokeswoman Trulie Ankerberg-Nobis says although Sin City did very bad, the overall trend at airports is to cut back on fatty, salty, sugary chow.

As she puts it, "Travelers today are definitely looking for healthier options."
