Toronto, Ontario -- Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door -- but what does the world beat if you build a better sex toy?

Registered nurse and senior citizen sex expert Sue Johansen will find out in the coming months as she creates a new line of marital aids for a company called California Exotic Novelties.

Johansen -- who hosts the "Sunday Night Sex Show" on the Oxygen Network -- admits there "are few orifices that haven't been explored" so she wants to focus on issues like safety, seams and softness.

For example, Johansen says too many sex toys lack a base -- which means they can get caught inside the body -- and items with a seam are too hard to clean.

She also gives low marks to toys that are rigid because there is the potential for pain if the partner using it isn't gentle.

Johansen will also avoid making vibrators that are too loud or suck too much juice from batteries, as well as placing "bodacious blondes" on packaging because, as she puts it, "The public wants clear instructions, not the promise of explosive orgasms."
