Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Flamboyant confetti-tossing comic Rip Taylor was unusually subdued while shooting his soon-to-air guest appearance on the NBC sitcom "Will & Grace." The talk show staple usually chews the scenery down to the nub in any of his appearances, but he says he was "very, very, very quiet" before the cameras started rolling on his scenes. In fact, he says he was so silent some of the cast members asked him if he was feeling sick. Taylor attributes his mellowness to being serious about his work, but admits, "when that camera light goes on, move over honey!" Taylor plays himself on the Nov. 18 episode and says when he asked the director what his motivation was, he was told, "The paycheck." The comic says he waited four years to be asked on the show and boy was it worth it. In his words, "they were hugging me and kissing me and saying, 'Oh god, you're an icon.'"
