New York, NY (WFN) -- After months of remaining mum, Paris Hilton's Chihuahua, Tinkerbell is finally dishing the dirt about what really happened when she went missing in August.

In an interview with "Animal Fair" magazine, the pampered pooch tells the pet publication's mascot "Lucky" that she wasn't really lost -- she just "needed a break" from all "this fame stuff."

However, Tinkerbell's break wasn't so relaxing. As she says, "people don't treat you well when you are all alone."

The trauma of living on the streets left Tinkerbell so disoriented when she came back to Paris that, in the pooch's words, "I even tried to leave the house in a mis-matched outfit! Talk about post-traumatic stress!"

All in all, according to the dog, "the whole 'doggone' experience made me appreciate everything I have."

In the interview, Tinkerbell also lets one incriminating fact fly out about her owner: She says Paris does dog doo duty but, "has been known to leave a turd or two on Rodeo Drive."
