| 2004-10-25 - Weird News Wireless Flash News Will New Halloween Song Replace 'Monster Mash' | ||
|
San Diego, CA (WFN) -- Trying to challenge a Halloween classic like "Monster Mash" is a scary feat, but one San Diego-based musician isn't spooked by the prospect. Children's entertainer Russ T. Nailz has just released a tune called "Halloween" that he says came to him when his daughter told him she wanted to dress up as a bowl of spaghetti. The lyrics of the trick-or-treat tune include: "Whata ya gonna be for Halloween?/ A skeleton, a goblin or a fairy queen?/ You could be a ghost or a slice of toast./ You could be Dracula or Fron-ken-steen. Whata ya gonna be for Halloween?" Although "Halloween" was just released, Nailz thinks his Dracula dress-up ditty is the first novelty song in 42 years that can crush the "Monster Mash" monopoly, mainly because that song "has too many lyrics to memorize."
