Philadelphia, PA (WFN) -- Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia could become the site of a new "Da Vinci Code-"like mystery hunt. The upcoming Nicolas Cage movie "National Treasure" has inspired tourism groups from Washington and Philadelphia to create a self-guided tour of places depicted in the film. On screen, Cage's character uses clues from the "Declaration of Independence," Benjamin Franklin's Silence Dogood letters and the Masons to unravel a mystery of hidden treasure. The tour takes history hunters to sites like Liberty Bell Center, Independence Hall and the Library of Congress. Cara Schneider, spokeswoman for the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation, says there has been talk over whether this will become as big as the European tours based on the bestseller, "The Da Vinci Code." Although Schneider thinks there is a similar appeal, she says, "We would not be that arrogant." She says if the tour became one-tenth as popular as "The Da Vinci Code" tours they'd be happy.
