Santa Cruz, CA (WFN) -- Some people may not like John Kerry's politics, but many don't seem to mind his musical tastes.

Bluebeat.com, a provider of digital radio, is conducting a poll based on how many people choose to listen to a Kerry or George W. Bush playlist that consists of the presidential candidates' musical favorites as well as the musicians supporting them.

Currently, Kerry leads the poll with 54 percent, thanks to a playlist that includes tracks from the likes of Bruce Springsteen and R.E.M. Bush is strumming 46 percent of the vote with his list of Jessica Simpson and Kid Rock songs.

Website spokesman Hank Risan says folks are taking more of a liking to Kerry's music so far because Bush "is more of a country music fan" while Kerry's tastes "are a little broader."

Risan says the poll will help people "get a better measure of the men" because "music is a window into the soul."
