Oxford, MS (WFN) -- The current presidential campaign has been very polarizing, but some of America's top pizza makers are hoping a new "bipartisan pie" makes people "give pizza chance."

Steve Green, who publishes "Pizza Marketing Quarterly," is planning to roll out the "Bipartisan Pizza" during the New York Pizza Show on Election Day (Nov. 2).

The pizza is divided into red and blue halves -- with 47 percent topped with a conservative amount of Texas Lone Star beef and garlic and 46 percent with liberal servings of Heinz cocktail sauce and shrimp. The remaining seven percent is independent of any toppings.

Green says a team of master chefs worked on the pie but there was lots of bickering because some of the cooks "wanted too much pork."

Still, he says the final consensus is a pizza he's certain will get anyone's vote.

Green doesn't know if the "Bipartisan Pizza" will make lots of dough for America's pizzerias but he plans to bring it to Italy in March for the World Pizza Championship as a message of "world pizza."
