|
New York, NY -- The Denver Broncos have won two Super Bowls but they won't win any awards for their first uniforms. "GQ" magazine has just chosen the uniforms worn by the Broncos during their first two seasons as the "worst of all time," mainly because they are colored brown and mustard with vertically striped socks. In fact, article author Paul Lukas says the socks were so ugly that the players burned them in a bonfire before the 1962 season. Other outfits that don't score points with "GQ" fashionistas include uniforms worn by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays between 1998 and 2000 and the Cincinnati Bengals' striped uniforms worn between 1981 and 2003. Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers uniforms worn between 1961 and 1979 score a touchdown, thanks to their blend of forest green and mustard yellow, and the Saint Louis Cardinals get a home run for their current uniform featuring a bird on a bat.
