|
Dayton, OH (WFN) -- This is a bad sign for U.S. presidential hopeful John Kerry: He's getting squashed in something called the "Pumpkin Poll." The informal survey at pcjackolantern.com gauges candidate popularity by counting the number of people who select pumpkin carving kits which help you create a Jack-O-Lantern that resembles either Kerry or rival George W. Bush. As of press time, the vote stood at 58 percent for the Bush kit and 42 percent for the Kerry kit, with almost 750 votes. In addition, Bush has the vote of pumpkin carvers in 30 states, while Kerry only prevails in 14 states. Bush also has an advantage in the way his face fits on a pumpkin. According to the Jack-O-Lantern experts at the website, the Prez's pattern is slightly easier to carve than the one featuring Kerry's mug.
