Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (WFN) -- Mongolia is a pretty remote country but many tourists are yakking about it becoming the next top tourist attraction. According to adventure travel specialist Lee Cashell, Mongolia is quickly becoming industrialized but is attracting travelers who want to experience wide open spaces and enjoy a few yak rides. Cashell says Mongolia appeals to trekkers who think Tibet and Nepal are "too overtraveled" and says it's probably the last place on Earth where wild horses run free. Even better: Cashell says the locals are very friendly and interested in meeting -- and mating -- with outsiders. Although the tourist infrastructure in Mongolia is getting better every day, Cashell admits the average tourist has to make adjustments to local culture. He says some of the natives get restless when they're drunk and it's not uncommon for wrestling matches to break out all over Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. In his words, "You'll see two guys who are best friends get drunk, fight each other, and then become best friends after the match."
