Kensington, MD -- Tom Brokaw has called the media's treatment of scandal-plagued CBS anchor Dan Rather "a political jihad" -- and that has one anti-CBS group crying foul.

Michael Paranzino, founder of BoycottCBS.com, says Brokaw's remarks were a "terrible choice of words" because "Jihad is not Americans demanding reforms from an arrogant and biased media. Jihad is Islamists mowing down children for sport and blowing up families at Tel Aviv cafes."

Paranzino says Brokaw's "insensitive" remarks, along with Rather's airing of fake documents about George W. Bush's military record, prove these anchors are slanted and "...put their liberal ideology ahead of their ratings."

Although the group has been asking for Rather's resignation since last fall, there are no plans for a boycott for NBC or Brokaw because the anchor has already announced he's retiring and Paranzino figures it was just his "final parting shot."
